Micro lens

You'll find the "close-up" scene mode useful for close-ups of flowers. If the camera refuses to focus at short distances, try using a micro lens. Micro lenses let you get close to your subject for big close-ups.

White balance: Auto

White balance: Incandescent

One trick photographers use is to deliberately choose a white balance setting that does not match current shooting conditions. For example, choosing "Incandescent" when shooting in sunlight will produce "cold", blue-tinted images.
