Camera Functions

S (Shutter-Priority Auto)

In shutter-priority auto, you choose the shutter speed while the camera automatically selects the aperture that will produce the optimal exposure. Use slow shutter speeds to suggest motion by blurring moving subjects, fast shutter speeds to “freeze” motion.

S (Shutter-Priority Auto): Slow shutter speed (1/25 s)
S (Shutter-Priority Auto): Faster shutter speed (1/13 s)

Procedure

01. Rotate the mode dial to S.
02. Choosing a Shutter Speed

Rotate the command dial to choose from shutter speeds between 30 s and 1/16,000 s. Rotate the dial to the right for faster shutter speeds, to the left for slower shutter speeds.
