Release Mode

Release mode controls what happens when the shutter is released.

Single frame:
The camera takes one photo each time the shutter-release button is pressed all the way down.

Continuous:
Continuous: The camera takes photographs while the shutterrelease
button is pressed.

- Continuous low speed:
The camera takes photos at a slow rate while the shutter-release button is pressed all the way down.

- Continuous high speed:
The camera takes photos at a high rate while the shutter-release button is pressed all the way down.

Quiet shutter-release:
As for single frame, but quieter.

- Qc (quiet continuous) shutter-release:
The camera takes photographs while the shutterrelease button is pressed; camera noise is reduced.

Self-timer:
Take pictures with the self-timer.

Remote Control Modes:
Take pictures using the shutter-release button on an optional ML-L3 remote control.

- Delayed remote (ML-L3):
The shutter is released two seconds after the ML-L3 shutter-release button is pressed.

- Quick-response remote:
The shutter is released when the ML-L3 shutter-release button is pressed.

Mirror up:
Minimize blur caused by camera shake.

Procedure

01. To choose a release mode, press the release mode dial lock release and turn the release mode dial to the desired setting.

- Single frame
- Continuous low speed
- Continuous high speed
- Quiet shutter-release
- Qc (quiet continuous) shutter-release
- Self-timer
- Remote control
- Mirror up
