| This model had the improved feed of 8 perforations per frame, instead of 7 perforations per frame of the first generation "Nikon Camera" and the picture size of enlarged width 34 mm (from 32 mm). Since then, the first generation "Nikon Camera" was called "Nikon I" in order to distinguish from this model "M". The next "Nikon S" was the model equipped with the flash sync. contact to the "M".
