From March 17th (Thurs.) to 20th (Sun.), Nikon (Nikon Photo Products Inc.) will participate in "Photo Imaging Expo (PIE) 2005," a new and largest exhibition of its kind in Asia that will be held at Tokyo Big Sight in Japan.
PIE 2005 is combined exhibition of the former Photo Expo, International Professional Photo Fair (IPPF), and Lab System Show, all held on different dates until 2004, aiming to become the world's leading exhibition of camera and imaging industries.
In this exhibition, Nikon will showcase the latest products and offers informative live performances and tutorials that embody an understanding of the needs and desires of photographers everywhere.

Nikon Booth Highlights




New Products

In this exhibition, Nikon will showcase the new digital SLR cameras the "D2X " and "D2Hs." These latest cameras will be demonstrated along with optional wireless transmitter WT-2 to reveal advanced transmission technology.
The latest COOLPIX compact digital camera series are also displayed at the show. This time, the new feature "Face-priority AF (Autofocus)" available on the new COOLPIX 7900, COOLPIX 5900, and COOLPIX 7600 will be introduced.


At the exhibition, Nikon will provide numerous hands-on opportunities for visitors to try out the product

Nikon also introduces its total imaging system at PIE 2005, which includes Nikkor lenses, Speedlights, system accessories and COOLSCAN film scanners will be exhibited at the Nikon booth.





Education Stage (Stage Seminar)

In addition the Nikon booth will also be hosting live stage performances and presentations of new products and technologies. Several well-known photographers will also be there, allowing spectators to see professionals "in action" with Nikon products.





Main Stage

The latest Nikon products such as D2X and COOLPIX7900 will be introduced and demonstrated at the Main Stage.





Charity Auction

Nikon products and gears as well as personal belongings supplied from the professional photographers appeared on the Seminar Stage will be on auction. Daily schedules are as follows.

*The funds raised from this auction will be donated for the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami disaster victims through Japanese Red Cross Society.

D2X Photo Exhibition

Breathtaking images taken by 11 famous photographers using the D2X will be exhibited inside the booth.



Shooting Area

Extraordinary and high-performance Nikkor supertelephoto lenses are available at the shooting area for visitors to try out the products hands on.



Digital Photo Stadio (Charity)

Professional photographer will take visitors portraits live. The images taken at Nikon booth will be printed out and handed to the visitors instantly with nominal fees. The fees collected will be donated for the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami disaster victims.
