"My Planet" category 3rd Title: Anderkillah LokonathDham Name: Shoeb Faruquee Country: Bangladesh Shooting situations This photo was shot in the evening of Anderkilla, Chittagong, Bangladesh. Anderkilla Lokonath Dham is a praying and worshipping center of the follower and believer of "Baba Lokonath". He is one of the greatest saints in the Hindu religion and preached to his followers "When ever you are in danger, Remember Me, I will save you." This worshipping ceremony starts from the evening time and continues for two hours. Feelings towards this work and how it interprets "At the heart of the image" This photo captures a ghee light burning ceremony in the name of ‘Baba Lokonath,’ a holy saint of the Hindu community. The devotees pray with spiritual concentration for fulfilling their good wishes. The soft-lit smoky environment and the meditating devotees altogether created a scene of holy tranquility. This scene inspired me to capture this ‘heart of the image.' Further comments This is one of my favorite photos I have recently taken. I am happy and satisfied to view and photograph this situation.
